Stanbic IBTC Plc Appoints Mr. Adekunle Adedeji as Group Chief Financial Officer

The Board of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC (“the Company”) hereby announces that Mr. Victor Yeboah-Manu will be resigning as the Group Chief Financial Officer of the Company with effect from Thursday 29 March 2018. Mr. Yeboah-Manu’s resignation is as a result of his assuming a new role as Chief Financial Officer of Stanbic Bank Ghana.

Accordingly, the Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Adekunle Adedeji as Group Chief Financial Officer of the Company with effect from Tuesday 03 April 2018.

Mr. Adedeji, who is currently the Chief Financial Officer for Stanbic Bank Ghana, has over 23 year’s post-graduation experience, with over 20 years in the banking sector. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, an MBA in Finance and has attended several executive development programmes. Prior to his appointment in Ghana in May 2013, Mr. Adedeji had previously served as Financial Controller for Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC, the Company’s largest subsidiary.

 

Before joining Stanbic IBTC, Mr. Adedeji had also previously served as Financial Controller and Regional Financial Controller for Ecobank Liberia and Nigeria respectively.

 

Prior to entering the banking industry, Mr. Adedeji worked with Ernst & Young for 3 years with his experience covering audit, taxation and other consultancy services.

 

Mr. Adedeji is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria; Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria; Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria, a Charter holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute; an Associate of the Nigeria Institute of Management; as well as the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.

 

The Board is pleased to welcome Mr. Adedeji as the new Group Chief Financial Officer of the Company and wish both him and the out-going Group CFO Mr. Yeboah-Manu all the best in their respective new roles.
