With a view to promoting democratic rights and enhancing electoral due process, The Red Card Movement has officially launched in Abuja. The launch event took place on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Berger Park, Wuse Berger Roundabout.
The Movement also kicked off its PHASE ONE Programs: #OfficeOfTheCitizen, #MyPVCMyRedCard and #RedCardToAPCAndPDP campaign which holds three distinct objectives: (a) to educate and sensitize citizens on their power as citizens and the fact that the most powerful office is the office they occupy; (b) to mobilize up to 30million Nigerians to register to vote, about two million citizens with uncollected PVCs to collect them and for ALL citizens with PVCs to come out to vote and protect their votes; (c) to publish empirical data from both local and foreign organizations that reflect evidential failure of governance and corrupt leadership in the last two decades, third party evidence on the streets from citizens that show governance failure from huge infrastructural gap.
