Promasidor, the mufti-food company that have successfully and firmly spread it’s roots and tentacles all over the African continent, and brought joy soundness and health to millions of Africans over the years, is still going strong. Promasidor, founded in 1979 by the English man, Mr Robert Rose have brought a great deal of good to the Nigerian people and the African continent as a whole, with it’s operations in over 25 nations. The vision of Robert Rose have no doubt brought joy to uncountable families across the nation. I remember many years ago when cowbell sachet milk first came on the market, it was great and it was really exciting because it meant for the first time everybody or, almost everybody could have milk because for the first time it was affordable and in sachets.

Back then, one could take his or her acamu, made from maize, or ogi as it is called in the west ,or pap as it is widely called, you could take your pap with a sachet or two of cowbell sachet milk, add some sugar and boy, you are good to go. If you had acamu, your cowbell milk and sugar all in it and you also had acara, or bean cake, it was a real balanced diet and delicious too. Back then, locals hardly knew the name promasidor, but believe me, everybody, old and young knew all about the products such as cowbell milk.

Today one would hardly be able to count their products. When you hear the name promasidor, products such as: cowbell milk, Loya milk, miksi, cowbell choco, amila, top tea comes to mind. Of course there are lots and lots more such as; onga, proma cafe, kid-o drink, O-pop drink, Proya, super dip, sossi, twisco, sunvita, yumvita and lots more, but the ones I have mentioned readily comes to mind.promasidor.2

Their brand ranges from dairy to non-dairy products; from beverages to cereal, to culinary. Their reach is virtually all over the continent of Africa. One thing is very clear, promasidor have successfully and single handedly won the war against malnutrition in the African continent. One unique thing is the affordability of their products, with so little one could buy powdered milk in sachets. Thumbs up to this great multi-food company with her reach all over the african continent. With what this company have been able to achieve over the years, it would only be natural to expect many more new and exciting products in the years ahead.
