It’s been alleged that numerous senior government officials who still hold their government appointments and offices are also deeply involved with their personal campaigns to succeed the governor. This very act may prove to be a legal pitfall since it is expected that all candidates who are interested in the guber elections ought to have resigned their government appointments 30 days before primaries. Aggrieved party members and opposition may use this against anyone who emerge as APC flad bearer and who may have broken this rule.

In  an economically distressed state, such as Osun, it is alleged that at least five senior government officials are using public resources for electioneering campaigns.

Party faithfuls are saying Gov Rauf  ought to have asked Chief of Staff, SSG, Commissioner for Finance, and others to resign before activating their political ambitions. They say even the much maligned Oyinlola didn’t allow this to happen during during his time.
