When Manchester united thrashed West Ham 4-0 in the first premiership match of this season, some must have just waved it away as their lucky day. However, a four nil win could hardly be termed lucky. New boy Lukaku, Pogba and Martial were all on the score sheet that time.
Well, the Red devils have put up another solid performance against a home side bent on packing the bus through out the whole game. Swansea city put five men at the back who had formed a well disciplined and determined defence.
On the other hand, Manchester united played with class and patience, bidding their time, waiting for an opening which eventually came when Eric Bailey scored the opener for Man United. After that opening goal, Romelu Lukaku, Martial and Paul Pogba were all on the score sheet again just like when they thrashed West Ham last week.
Manchester united are back to being Manchester united. They have finally rediscovered their identity. Concerning the 4-0 thrashing over West Ham, Jose Mourinho declared,
“I felt in control, if you had a chance to look at me and my body language I think you could see that.”
“The word that describes the team now is confident,” declared Mourinho.
Two games p!aged. 8 goals scored. None conceded. All 6 points grabbed. Manchester united have been faultless and flawless so far.
CHELSEA GRABS VITAL WIN
The champions are back, and with a bang too. After their shocking defeat at home to Burnley and having two men sent off. It looked like the blues where in a crisis and were also off to a shaky title defence.
After the opening match, many would have not predicted that the Blues would be able to defeat Tottenham Hotspur to give themselves a morale boost. However, Chelsea displayed strength and character and eventually grabbed a late winner.
Maximum point grabbed from this match and the champions are on track to defend their title won last season.
