The incumbent governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has been declared winner of the election by INEC.
Declaring Seriake Dickson of the PDP winner of the Bayelsa election on behalf of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Zana Akpagu, the collation/returning officer, said the incumbent governor polled 134,998 votes, while Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 86,852 votes.
