The Daughter of former governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, Erhiatake Ibori is running for a seat in the delta state house of assembly under the PDP. Erhiatake Ibori is seeking a seat to represent Ethiope West constituency in the state legislature. Ms Ibori has kick started her political campaign by launching a free ambulance service in her constituency.
James Ibori is a founding Father of the PDP in delta state and his loyalists are still firmly in power in the delta state politics, from the government house Asaba to the grassroots. This would give Ms Ibori a massive advantage in her political pursuit. One could say she is sure to clinch the PDP ticket at the end of the primaries and go on to win the elections.
It is alleged Ms Ibori has oppositions to her political ambition, but it is also clear that, riding on the supports of her father’s loyalists, she will make it in the end.
