A Nigerian lawyer, Ricky Tarfa SAN, who earlier today prevented the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from arresting a businessman from the Benin Republic, Granhoue Sourou Nazaire has been detained by the agency and is now cooling his feet behind bars.
The EFCC has arraigned six people for conspiracy, stealing, and forgery.
EFCC agents at the court premises in Lagos had laid an ambush for Nazaire with the plan to arresting him for fraud, but Mr. Tarfa shielded and tried to get a judge to issue an order to bar the EFCCC from picking him up.
