Senate President Bukola Saraki is currently at the hilltop mansion of former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital.
Accompanied by some of his associates, the nation’s number three citizen went into a meeting with the elder statesman.
The visit comes five days after Saraki visited the Minna residence of former military President Ibrahim Babaginda.
The senate president also met with chairmen of 45 political parties last week.
Saraki’s trip to the influential Nigerians happened after he hinted at running for president.
The lawmaker defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) earlier in the month.
Obasanjo and Babginda have asked President Muhammadu Buhari not to seek reelection.
Both men issued statements where they expressed dissatisfaction with some crucial issues under Buhari.
Obasanjo is believed to have played a significant role in the emergence of Buhari in 2015.
