Access bank and Aliko Dangote Foundation have formed partnership with other private-sector institutions to create the coalition against COVID-19, (CACOVID).

The coalition is intended to complement the government’s elaborate efforts in the fight against COVID-19. CACOVID is aimed at mobilizing private sector resources and thought leadership, creating public awareness; and directing support to private public health care institutions.

The coalition is pulling resources across industries to provide technical and operational support while providing funding and building advocacy through aggressive awareness drive.

In addition to efforts from Lagos State, they are erecting four fully equipped make-shift medical facilities to house 1,000 beds. These facilities will serve as training, testing, isolation and treatment centers.

CACOVID has also put plans in place to in experts from around the world, who will be on ground to provide technical and training support.

COVID-19 affects us all and threatens our collective health ( economic, social, psychological and physical wellbeing) and perhaps our existence. Hence, the urgent need to collaborate to beat this common enemy.

The task ahead is daunting and bigger than any one organization.

To win this battle, it is critical we all come together as one.

Work has commenced to ensure these facilities are completed in good time to serve the growing need of our country during this perilous period.
